Your Task
Each project team is asked to plan and prepare a contextual inquiry (CI). The contextual inquiry should be started on 25th of May (or earlier if possible).
Here is what you should consider when planning the CI:
- Goals & objectives of the CI: What exactly do you want to know ? How do you make sure you will learn about this?
- Who are the target users?
- Can you contact them and recruit some of them for your CI? How many do you need?
- What is the work or the activity you want to support with your project?
- Where and when does this activity occur. How and when can it be observed/investigated?
- Which roles, jobs, tasks should be investigated ?
- Which methods or techniques do you want to use (interview, observation, logfiles, video/audio footage etc.)
- What material do you need (e.g. interview guidelines, observation protocol, etc.)?
- How long will it take?
- How do you record your observations / interviews ? What do you need to do that?
