Please test the NASA Task Load Index.

Here is where you can find it:

Before you start the task below, browse these websites and make yourself familiar with the NASA-TLX technique.

The task that you should evaluate for its workload is:

  • Look for this book: Stanton, N. A., Salmon, P. M., Rafferty, L. A., Walker, G. H., Baber, C., & Jenkins, D. P. (2017). Human Factors Methods: A Practical Guide for Engineering and Design. CRC Press. https://doi.org/10.1201/9781315587394
  • Look for it on two different websites (in any order, but one after another):
    • on the publisher's website
    • on Amazon
  • Once you have found it, put it in the shopping cart and view the shopping cart. The task is completed, once you have viewed the shopping cart with the book in it.
  • When the task is completed, evaluate your workload during the task by using NASA TLX, either the paper version or any of the online versions. Make sure you have finished the evaluation of your workload on one website before your start the task on the second website.
  • Compare the two values for the two different websites.
