Creating a playlist on Spotify
Revision as of 13:19, 14 April 2020 by Dajuengling (talk | contribs)
Advantages
- Gives suggestions to add songs --> suitability for learning
- Suggestions get better as you start adding music
- ability to name playlist
- if i search a new category, a panel for that category is included so i can include --> Self-descriptiveness
- the new playlist shows up on top of your library, you don’t have to scroll down to find it
- playlist art is a mix of albums in your playlist
- “make secret” “make collaborative” options
- makes a playlist for you- “daily mixes” depending on the songs frequently heard
Disadvantages
- The songs aren’t related to my music tastes
- you don’t get direct access to your own music when adding songs --> Self-descriptiveness
- you have to go to your own library to add your own music (extra step)
- bad layout
- did not realize panels were categorized --> suitability for learning
- you cannot choose the covers you want to see on the playlist image, they just show up randomly (UX)
- you need to click on plus button to add a song, you cannot just click on the song (not intuitive) --> Self-descriptiveness
- no voice assistant
- you cannot filter the playlists you have + no difference between playlists you created/already existing
